Today's Class

Today's a free "read the news you want to read" day.  My only requirements are the following:

1. You are reading about something 'newsworthy'; and, for this class, I'm limiting it to exclude: sports, celebrity, music.  Almost anything else goes, as long as you think it's appropriate for reading about in school. Remember, the point of this class is to learn about what's going on in the world, so I'm open to what that means to you.

2. Whatever you choose, I'd like you to answer the following questions on titan pad. http://titanpad.com/A7EgQCUgCZ

3. To start using Titan Pad you have to do just 2 quick things. a) type your name so that we know who is writing what.  b) read my comments in green before you do any typing!

4. You must read the entire article before you start to type and comment. After you have completed the reading and commenting about 1 article, you can look at what others are writing about and check out their links. But, you must contribute your own first!!!! I repeat, you must contribute your own first!

5. Here is a list of potential new sites that you might want to start looking at:

cnn.com
nytimes.com
huffingtonpost.com
washingtonpost.com
wallstreetjournal.com
usatoday.com
http://www.politico.com/
www.boston.com

International news: Want to check out what the rest of the world considers today's top news stories?  Check out another country's newspapers!!
http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/

You are not limited to this list, so feel free to go off and check out other sites, too.
