Your assignment today is to find a compelling, engaging, understandable to you Political Cartoon on a topic that is relevant to you, to class, to the world.
We are going to explore the Political Cartoon website called Cagle.com. It's THE place for political cartoons.
For the first 15 minutes, you are tasked with just looking around the site, finding cartoons to look at and try to make sense of.
Then, you are tasked with your partner to find 1 political cartoon to post on padlet. Pick a cartoon that you understand enough about the topic that you 'get' the cartoon, understand the message, and you feel like it is a topic that is worth talking about in class (in other words, don't pick something simply b/c it's funny, shocking, etc…pick it first b/c you think it's a great cartoon about an important topic, then you can enjoy the humor/sarcasm, etc http://padlet.com/wall/politicalcartoonsWMS
